FAQs

Sound therapy is a form of guided meditation. It uses soothing sound, vibrations and frequencies as the anchor to help quieten the mind.

Not at all. Sessions are designed to be accessible, welcoming, and beginner‑friendly.

Participants lie comfortably on a yoga mat with blankets and supportive props (seated options are available on request). We begin with a gentle guided meditation, followed by a sound immersion using crystal singing bowls, gong, chimes, soft percussion and voice. It ends with a brief moment of silence, giving your body time to settle before you are guided back into the space.

  • Warm, comfortable clothing
  • Water bottle
  • Optional: Your own comfort items (blankets, additional layers, etc.)

What is provided: Yoga mat, eye pillow, bolster and blanket

Please arrive at least 10 minutes before your session to give yourself time to settle in or use the restroom.

Sound therapy is gentle for most people, but there are a few situations where extra care is needed. Please read the Health Considerations & Contraindications section in our T&Cs for full details.

Due to insurance requirements, at this stage, sessions are for adults 18 years and over. If there is significant interest in child‑friendly or parent‑and‑child offerings, this may be explored in future.

No refunds are eligible. See T&Cs for full details.

You’re welcome to take a quick photo or video of the setup before we begin, but phones are switched off or on silent for the duration of the session. Recording isn’t permitted once the session starts, as it helps protect the privacy and comfort of everyone in the space. If Sonora Wellness requests to capture any photos or short video clips for promotional use, permission will be requested from participants, in advance.
